IS THERE NO BALM IN GILEAD? PART 1

The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved. For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me. Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered? Jer. 8 20-22

God is a God of healing, in Jeremiah 8 20-22; Jeremiah 46 vs 8-11; Jeremiah 33:6-8. There are some medicines that has no curative power in it, but you can’t go to Gilead and not receive the balm that brings healing. The balm in Gilead brings restoration, it brings recovery, it brings cure. Today, I declare you healed in the mighty name of Jesus! Amen. We need to realise that there is a spiritual check up on us, when we walk into the church, every of our services is a healing service. Every time the word of God is being preached, healing is taking place.

In the beginning there was no sickness and God is saying in Jeremiah 33:6-8 that ‘He will build you as of first’, that simply means God will build your life in the order of Adam where there was no sickness and disease. God will not only heal you, He will also forgive you of your sins. We need to realise that Sin is the mother of sickness (Jer. 30:12-15), but God is saying ‘I restore health unto you’. God has not forgotten you God has promise to bring you health and cure finally.

WHAT IS THE BALM IN GILEAD?

The balm simply is the word of God (Jer. 8:20-22). God’s word is the greatest balm for the healing and cure of all manner of sickness and disease. One word brings healing and deliverance (Psa. 107:20), many words brings health and wholeness (Prov. 4:20-22). There is a difference between healing and health. The word of God keeps you in perpetual health. Please take note also, Jesus is the physician there (Matt. 9:12-13/ Lk. 5:17). Jesus is the great physician. However, we need to understand our rights to total health.

UNDERSTAND YOUR RIGHTS TO TOTAL HEALTH 

  1. We belong to God’s family and because there is no sickness in our new family lineage, all hereditary diseases have no more right to affect us ( 2:19/ Rom. 8:17: / Heb. 2:11). There are hereditary diseases and there are generation curses. There are things you had nothing to do with that you inherited. The same way people inherit finance and blessings they can also inherit disease. For example, a child born with SS is hereditary, the child took it from the parents. But the good news is God can turn SS to AA. All hereditary diseases have no right to afflict you.
  2. You are position above principalities and powers ( 2:6, Eph. 1:20-21). Get this understanding today.
  3. Redemption has qualified you for healing and wholeness. Everyone sick is qualified for healing, health and wholeness ( 15:26, Deut. 7:15). As far as redemption and salvation is concern sickness is not permitted in your body.
  4. By redemption, we have access to the Word that carries spiritual quickening forces for our healing and wholeness ( 6:63: / Isa. 59:19). 

BUT WHAT IS IN THE WORD THAT HEALS

  1. The Word is Prophetic ( 37:1-14: / 2 Peter 1:20-21): I don’t know what your case is but keep prophesying the word of God. Everything God says you should do, just do it and you will see answers.
  2. The Word is Creative ( 1:1-31/ Acts 3:6-9: / Matt. 9:27-29): It creates, in Genesis 1:1-31, we saw creation. God spoke, and God saw.
  3. The Word is Surgical ( 1:17-18): It simply means it can penetrate anybody (Heb. 4:12). The word is sharper than any two-edged sword. There is a way the word enters you and it penetrates your heart, your thoughts, your spirit, your soul, your emotion, your intellect, your will and everywhere.  
  4. The Word is Medicinal ( 4:20-22/ Job. 33:21-25): I declare that this balm in Gilead in this month of September brings you healing in the name of Jesus. The balm of Gilead will speak in your life.

MARITAL BREAKTHROUGH BANQUET

WHAT ARE THE KEYS TO COMMAND MARITAL BREAKTHROUGHS?

Word encounter is covenant key to commanding breakthroughs (Hos. 4:6, Isa. 5:13, Jhn. 8:32, Jhn. 1:1-5). Knowledge is powerful. It takes light to scatter and subdue darkness. You need light to blast out darkness automatically. I see you entering into light in the name of Jesus! Amen. Every child of God that so desire to have their partners God has ordain us for glorious destiny (Jhn. 10:10).

Our Father is a marriage maker and not a marriage beggar and or destroyer.  So, we don’t need permission and we don’t need to be marriage beggars (Psa. 68:6, Gen. 12: 18). Marriage is a good thing and everything in Christ we are entitled to get it. Inside marriage if you want peace, joy, fruitfulness you get it. 

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO ACTUALISE A GLORIOUS MARITAL DESTINY?

  1. Be Born Again ( 3:23, Rom. 6:23): Be a child of God and you will experience a glorious marital destiny.
  2. Remain in Love with God ( 8:28, 1 Cor. 2:9-10): When you a God lover, a God chaser you will also find a God lover and a God chaser. And when two God lovers come together they stay in love forever.
  3. Be Committed to Kingdom Advancement Endeavours ( 63:6, Matt. 6:33):
  4. Beware of Pride: There are many men not married today because they are too proud. No genuine sister of God wants a man that brags. Same thing with sisters. One of the major thing to locate your spouse is not money, but a person with a vision. Nobody likes a proud man or woman. Humility attracts.
  5. Believe in God and Believe also in His Prophet ( 12:13, 2 Chron. 20:20)

SALVATION PRAYER

If you are not in relationship with the Lord, we want you to take this opportunity to give Jesus Christ the place in your heart as Lord and Saviour. This is for everyone! It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, where you’ve been or how long since you’ve talked to God or if you ever had. God is willing right now to save you, forgive you of your sins and put you in right relationship with Him. That is the love of God. DEAR FATHER, I THANK YOU THAT YOU SEE ME JUST AS I AM. I KNOW I’VE SINNED AND WALKED AWAY FROM YOU. I ASK JESUS CHRIST TO BE MY LORD AND SAVIOUR TODAY. I BELIEVE THAT HE DIED FOR ME AND I BELIEVE THAT HE ROSE AGAIN. I GIVE YOU EVERY PART OF ME NOW. PLEASE FORGIVE ME OF MY SINS. BE MY GOD. THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME. IN JESUS’ NAME! AMEN.
